Spamming a major consern

After hosting the ANN website and other sites I have noticed there are lot of automated spamming posts in the websites. these are automated bots posting contents to websites if it has a form. Alll my website has seen this issue which I counter using htaccess deny methods. So I have blocked arround 50 toxic ips in cdr format in htaccess file. Hope here after there wornt be any spam registration in ANN website.
